With a cumulated turnover of 4 billion Euros, în 2012, the companies within ICT Cluster account foro ver 75 % of the overall turnover of the ICT sector in West Region
Priority areas
Internatonalization
· Establish partnerships with other ICT clusters in Europe
· Lobby at national and European level regarding broadband strategies, Next Generation Access, open data
· Visibility and networking - participate in international events and fairs
· Promote ICT competences and services at international level to attract investors and open up markets
· Develop innovative services and products, participate in EU call for tenders as Cluster
ICT Business development
· Strengthen outsourcing partnerships
· Attract new innovative companies
· Act as broker of innovative ideas
· Facilitate and consolidate strong partnerships with public sector and other economic sectors to put ICT as cross-sectorial enabler
· Develop large and research and innovation ICT infrastructure
· Develop and implement services aimed at sustaining young entrepreneurs in creating new innovative business
R&D&I
· Exploit and capitalise results of research projects managed by ICT Cluster members
· Inventory of RDI actions at regional, national, European and international level
· Identify funding opportunities and business partnerships based o R&D&I
· Develop joint R&I projects at ICT Cluster level
· Develop competences related to IPR
Education – Training
· Organize job fairs for postgraduates in West Region
· Develop internship programmes within CIT Cluster’s companies for students
· Facilitate soft skills trainings for young entrepreneurs
· Establish connection with world-class training providers
· Establish strategic partnerships at international level facilitating access to world-class research communities
Public Administration
The focus of this priority area is to enable the West Digital Region through systematic and homogenous integrated Digitization within the four counties of West Region to ensure the interoperability of all public services within the region. The aim is to provide 100% regional unified digital solutions and full digital communications coverage, smart regional databases and coordination at regional level to facilitate access of all citizen in the region to digital public service (e-government, e-citizen).
